The North Hills complex is a wonderful venue, with outstanding concessions and 14 theaters to choose from. However, the teens that attend this complex are not supervised, and are extremely discourteous during the movies. They talk to each other, and are constantly text messaging on their cell phones. When they are seated in front of you, the bright light from their cell phones are very annoying and disturbing. Management needs to do a better job of policing the teens. I will not attend anymore movies at this complex due to the constant problem of discourteous teenagers.
Absolutely ridiculous that this theater would charge an additional $3.50 for a 3D movie. Paid it for my child to see the movie and then the staff had the gall to ask for 3d glasses back to be recycled. Needless to say we took ours because we purchased them at $3.50. I had brought in 3D glasses and they could not be used you had to pay the additional money. Next time we go to IMAX, better theater better experience. They should be ashamed.
3-D viewing is not worth the money. This theater is charging an additional $3.50 to show ICE AGE in 3-D. They are charging $9.50 for a child ticket and $10.75 for an adult tickets; (As if the regular priced tickets are not already enough). It cost $21.00 for me and my five year old to see a movie at 2:55pm in the afternoon. The reasoning for this is because they do not own a projector to show 3-D movies so they have to rent a projector and the patrons are having to pick up the tab for that.. They are charging the same prices as the IMAX theater and it is definitely not an IMAX experience. It is my opinion that patrons should just stick with the regular showing of this movie and make sure you pay attention to the pricing list.
Very nice theater complex. However, the kids and teens run wild! They are loud, constantly text messaging during movies, talking on cell phones, and discourteous. The theater management needs to do a better job of policing the teens and children in these theaters!!!
Does North Hills have any rules on bringing outside food to the freebie movies for the summer? We have several children and would like to bring food from home b/c it's cheaper but don't want to go against any rules.
Great movie theater for not only teens but at least people from age's 16-28, so I say that's pretty awesome. It's a clean place, enough seats and enough space, who care's about the price since they offer good service !
First off, the cashier rang up the wrong movie for my daughter. My daughter told the ticket taker that it was for the wrong movie,so she sent her back up to the box office to correct the problem. The cashier wrote on the ticket and seemingly fixed the problem. My daughter went back to the ticket taker,& the ticket taker told her she can\'t let her in because the ticket had already been torn.My daughter had to sit out in the lobby and wait for her friends to come back out after the movie was over. She even asked to use the phone to call me, but they were too busy and never let her use it. She ended up walking over to Harris Teeter where they were gracious enough to let her use the phone. We ended up talking with the manager who offered 2 free movie passes and refused to just refund her money. He finally refunded the money and was apologetic. I need for the cashier and the ticket taker to get it together and do the right thing the first time. It can\'t be that hard!(Obviously it is harder than it looks.) Thet ticket taker accused my daughter of trying to sneak into the movies. She knows better than that. Some of us parents do actually take the time to teach our kids integrity. That\'s why she said something about the ticket being wrong in the first place.
The good:nnClean. Nice facilities. Lots of theaters. Digital projection available. Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, many great restaurants right next to the place.nnThe bad:nnYuppie teen central. More expensive than all other Raleigh theaters. Doesn't show indie flicks, but that's to be expected in a way.
Dudes! This movie thetre is AWESOME!! If your a teen like me, this is the spot 2 be at night. And its WAYYY cleaner than the $1.50 movie 4 SHO!!
One of my favorite theaters to attend! Great location and great selection of movies. Although, it can be a little pricey, but not much more than any other theater you may attend. Great place to take a date too. You have a Starbucks, Fox and the Hound restaurant, Ben and Jerry's all right there.
