This theater is consistantly FREEZING...winter or summer ...when us older folks attend the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD nooontime performances on Saturdays. For YEARS people have asked management to TURN THE HEAT UP or TURN THE A/C DOWN!
Many of us wear a sweater AND a coat and bring gloves.
Management has to have about 10 people come to them during the performance before they will do anything...but an hour later it is just as cold. When operas can last 5 or 6 hrs....sitting for that long and freezing is AWFUL. -
My family and I love the Regal. the staff is always friendly and the popcorn is always fresh. We like that they have summer specials for the kids. The kids enjoy putting the butter on themselves. The reclining seats are great.

I have to agree that this is the most overpriced theatre in all of Raleigh. The cost of a movie, popcorn, and coke will EASILY take you over $20. Popcorn costs are nothing short of shocking to the tune of something like $8 a bag. The ticket sales are slow at rush as previous posters noted. The theatre itself is just your average run of the mill place with stadium seating and no screens of any spectacular size. The prices are unjustified, but the Regal theatre chain is not known for cheap pricing. Highway robbery.

I have to strongly agree with Karl's statement about the ticket sales being VERY slow. 4 windows, but usually only 2 open; rotating. I find that the ticket sales people don't remember that you are there to keep the theatre in business and them in a job!
They tend to take their sweet A$$ (sorry, but true) time in processing the sale of your ticket! "Hello! I have a movie to catch
and if you want me to buy popcorn.. please hurry!)
Yes, the popcorn is STALE and overpriced.
The only good thing is that it's the least crowded theatre (humm.. I wonder why). Prices a quite steep for a movie before 6pm.. only 50 Cents off the regular price? Theatres would get revenue if they lowered their tickets to half off before a noon showing. That's what they do in Southern California... and ticket sales are booming! Happy theatre goers and happy business owners! In any case...
ENJOY THE MOVIES EVERYONE! -
Ticket sales is a single line, and is verrry slow. Teh concession counter is way, way overpriced, and the service is really horrible. If you want \'butter\' on your stale overpriced popcorn you have to pump it on yourself. Seats are OK.
